Unique Tingatinga Pictures and other art from Africa for sale... |
Tingatinga Art is unique style of painting. It was created by only one man – Edward Saidi Tingatinga. After finishing his chool he worked in the town Tanga. Later, in 1959 he moved to Dar es Salaam. He changed few times his job and through that time he developed his talent.
In these days Tingatinga style is made in Tanzania by few tens of painters and we can find Tingatinga pictures all over the world…... (více)

| ….. …I wanted to travel as soon as possible. Peru, India,….I didn’t care. The motto was clear: „exotica!“ I was looking for somebody on internet to travel with me. I didn’t find anybody, but my eyes stucked on Ali’s advertisement. I was thinking a little bit: „Ethiopia??? Where is it?“ The departure was exactly on time so I decided to go immediately. In two month, I arranged everything important. Even I convinced my familly and friends I didn’t lost my mind. I sent money for the flight ticket to account of the girl I had never met before. I just hoped that we would really go… :)
And we went. The whole fear, which everybody around me just supported before my fllight, dissapeared in a while. The transport was ensured and wherever we came, the sleeping was allways very comfortable. We had very good experience with local people. First time, we were quite scared. But when we respected their rulles, than they also respected us. We tried to behave same and be almost like the others. Only the colour of the skin was a little bit problem :-). At the end Ethiopians became our friends and we ate and danced together.
Ethiopia is one of the poorest countries in the world. But don’t miss one important point. They have another treasure. Faith in God and love to each other.
Everybody had his own experiences. But all of us had the same feeling The friendliness and kindness of the local people little changed our thinking about the life.
Thanks to Ali and all the other friends for great trip……
